Hatch-Waxman Actions
Litigated Hatch-Waxman actions through resolution, including actions involving sacubitril/valsartan (sole defendants at trial on titration patent), malathion (sole defendant), plerixafor, fexofenadine (sole defendant on process patent), aripiprazole, pantoprazole, bupropion hydrochloride (sole defendant at trial), omeprazole, among others.
Drafted oppositions that were successful in defeating TROs/motions for preliminary injunction regarding potential launches of generic products in Hatch-Waxman actions involving aripiprazole, pantoprazole, zoledronic acid, metaxalone, and oxandralone.
Other Hatch-Waxman actions on which she has worked since 2021 include actions involving cannabidiol, brexpiprazole, ertugliflozin, safinamide, sugammadex, brimonidine, among others.

Julia specializes in intellectual property litigation, with a focus on patent litigation. She has over 15 years of experience litigating pharmaceutical patents under the Hatch-Waxman Act. She has represented generic pharmaceutical companies as a sole defendant in Hatch-Waxman actions and a process patent action, and also as a member of joint defense groups in consolidated Hatch-Waxman actions.
Julia has also worked on other litigations, disputes, and opinion letters involving other types of patents and intellectual property rights (e.g., trade dress, trademark, copyright, ownership rights in patents and inventions) across a variety of industries (e.g., manufacturing equipment and systems, consumer goods, software and internet-related, University research).
Julia has also worked on an initial public offering pertaining to a generic pharmaceutical company.
